The development of intercultural communication and tourism in the light of scientific community


“ The conference aimed at informing the scientific community on the achievements in the field of intercultural communication and tourism, the its current status, development and problems of tourism in Central Asia, as well as discussing the modernization of the HR training system. ”

          At the initiative of Alisher Navo'i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature and in collaboration with the editorial board of the portal and the electronic scientific and methodological journal “Foreign Languages ​​in Uzbekistan”, Turkish Embassy in Uzbekistan, The State Committee for the development of tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ankara Haci Bayram Veli University, N.A. Dobrolyubova Nizhny Novgorod State Linguistic University international online scientific conference "Intercultural communication and tourism" was held on June 15th , 2020.   

The online conference was held with the help of ZOOM program on the platform conference.fledu.uz.

The head of the UNESCO Office in Uzbekistan, Mr. Jan Hladik, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Uzbekistan Mehmet Sureyya ER, Rector of Ankara Haji Bayram Vali University Prof.Dr.Yusuf Tekin, Rector of Nizhny Novgorod State Linguistic University Prof.J.V Nikonova, professors of New York and Indiana universities, scientists from Canadian and Turkish universities and centers, professors and teachers of the Alisher Navo'i Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature and the representatives of The State Committee for the development of tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan, portal and the electronic scientific and methodological journal “Foreign Languages ​​in Uzbekistan” (FLEDU.UZ), as well as international experts of this field participated in this conference.

International scientific online conference considered the following fields such as: the interrelation of education and tourism, international experience in literary tourism, ecotourism, pilgrimage tourism, intercultural relations of the international tourism in the context of globalization, bilingualism and intercultural communication, discourse and corpus linguistics, translation studies as well as intercultural communication, innovation and tourism.

One of the significant elements of this online conference is that, in addition to the relevance of the topics covered, the conference work lasted several days, giving the opportunity to the participants to not only fully investigate the presented scientific works, but also  to analyze a wider range of issues raised during the discussions.

The conference will end on June, 20th at conference.fledu.uz platform. The special certificates will be issued to conference participants and observers who actively participated in the discussions of articles and videos. An electronic database of conference materials (text, audiovisual) will be established. Moreover, commenting, questions and answer sessions, feedback giving will be possible in a special section under each article.
